Attorneys, law students and notaries are needed to volunteer at APABA's annual Elder Law Day clinic, which will be held on Saturday, October 17 (10:00am to 12:30 pm).
Volunteers will help senior citizens prepare for:
Power of Attorney for finances
Advance Medical Healthcare Directives
No prior expertise in these areas is necessary. Training will be provided for attorney and law student volunteers during the clinic.
To volunteer, please register online using the button on this page.
New Volunteers: Please read the following handouts and instructions before volunteering at an APABA Monthly Community Legal Clinic:
Volunteer Agreement - Please print, sign, and provide this agreement when you check in at your first clinic.
The handouts provide crucial information regarding our policies and guidelines for the clinic intake and consultation (e.g., no referrals to private attorneys). Reading the handouts and filing out the form ahead of time will expedite the sign-in and orientation process and enable you to start volunteering right away.
