We’re aiming for a strong group turnout to make this a truly impactful (and bonding!) experience. Each shift requires 20 volunteers, and we’re opening this up to members to help us reach capacity.

10:00 AM–1:00 PM – Food distribution on Skid Row

LITIGATING FEDERAL MISCONDUCT: PURSUING ACCOUNTABILITY THROUGH FTCA AND BIVENS ACTIONS
Join KABA and SCCLA for a free MCLE program exploring how to pursue accountability for federal misconduct through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and Bivens actions. This one-hour virtual session will provide a practical primer on litigating civil rights claims against federal employees, including when these claims are available and how current case law shapes litigation strategy.
Hear from experienced federal civil rights practitioners who will share insights from the plaintiffs’ perspective and discuss key considerations in bringing these claims.
This program is approved for 1 hour of California MCLE credit. Attendees must participate in the full session to receive a certificate of attendance.
